These pictures were taken at a lighthouse driving down the highway 1 with a couple of friends of mine. We stayed past magic hour and waited for the stars to show a bit more. Took the pictures at 30 secs. shutter speed, and f5 500iso. I also played around with the WB. Since it was a clear night the pictures came out shockingly clear.
Set-Up: Nikon D7000, 17-55mm f2.8 lens, & a sturdy tri-pod.
Post Process: I first cooled the temperature a bit and added bit of sharpening and clarity for the stars to be a bit more intense. After just added a bit more color and adjusted the curves.
Nice place to take pictures. It was at the end of “magic hour,” but the sun was able to add good back light that reflected of her orange hair.
Set up: D7000
Post Process: enhanced sharpness, added a blue/ orange tint and fade.
I was able to take some pictures of the desserts at Aleia’s birthday. I really like how the pictures came out. Therefore I am thinking about doing a project just on sweets.
Set-Up: 17-55mm F-2.8 Nikon lens & D7000
Post-Process: Touched up the exposure in lightroom. A little bit of clarity, darken the darks, lighten the whites, bit of saturation / viberance and “wala!”
This photo shoot was at Alveso Milpitas. It’s a interesting county park that includes a salt marsh, walking/biking trail and exotic historical monuments. The interesting part is the place has various climactic settings you can catch here. The place is a great place for portraits and I happened to have a great subject, Willfraedo. In this particular phootshoot I wanted to do a “let go of the past and look forward to the future” theme. Let me know what you think?
Set-Up: D7000, Sturdy Tripod, Stands, Cybersyncs, Sb-800, Vivtar-85.
Post-Process: curves to brighten up the picture, some gaussian blur to add a glow effect, enhanced vibrance/saturation for that “Nikon-color” saturated look.
Half Moon Bay has beautiful beaches. Everything was perfect, even the friends that came along. It was cloudy although patterns in the sand were interesting and the sun was perfect once it hit “magic hour.”
Set Up: Nikon D7000 & Sturdy a tri-pod
Post-Process: Enhanced the colors, a little bit of clarity, slightly brighten the shadows, higher the contrast, and focused on saturation.
The 24 Hour Facebook Challenge starts with a friend from facebook making a video and drinking one shot and one beer, then right after that person finishes drinking they nominate three friends to do it also. If a friend doesn’t do it with 24 hours there are consequences of the person who made the video’s choice. I did a video then turned out to be a photoshoot as well. I’m not very fond of these “chain-reaction-type-things” but, I admit this one was fun!
This was a random night out with a couple of good friends. We all had the day off and we all love Soju, so we went to a place off El Camino Real called Jujubees. This is such a fun place to drink and get things started for the night. I had my doubts about this place, but it did the job!
